Gas Generator Types and Maintenance Guide

Generators are lifesaving equipment generally referred as power savers. These devices are great power sources when there is a shortage of power. The primary sources of generators are diesel, gasoline, and propane. The input energy fed to the generator is converted into electrical energy. This electrical energy is used as a power source for external circuits.

Generally, there are three types of a generator which are explained as follows:-
1.   Portable Generator- Such type of generators use a combustion engine to generate electrical energy. These are powered by diesel fuel or gas. These type of generators are easy to handle. Power generator able to provide electricity to TV, Computer and refrigerators. Such kind of generators can be easily plugged into the appliances to generate electricity. Such type of generators can power lights and other devices. An engine used by the generators works at 3600 rpm 60 Hz current.
2.   Inverter Generator – An AC power produced by the alternator connected to an engine. An AC power is converted into DC power using the rectifiers. High tech magnets are used through the electronic circuitry. An AC is turned into DC using three phases to produce electricity. It is lightweight and can be easily fitted into a car.
3.   Standby Generator – Such type of generators generate power automatically. These are operated on liquid propane or natural gas. An internal combustion engine is used in such type of generators. These generators are used in the elevators, hospitals, offices and protection systems.
Hydrogen Generators
Hydrogen Generator is a safe, convenient and cost-effective instrument. Gas cylinders are used in such type of generators. Hydrogen gas is used in these generators and these type of generators are also called Hydrogen Generators for GC. This is an environmental friendly generator and hydrogen gas used as carrier gas in the cylinders. So, it is readily available. In some places, hydrogen gas generators are also used in vehicles because these are pollution free cylinders. These are portable and easy to handle. Hydrogen generators for GC reduce the emission up to 97%.
Benefits of Hydrogen Gas Generator for GC
There are various advantages of Hydrogen gas generator for gas cylinders.
1.   Reduces the emission of carbon to a great extent and its maintenance cost is less.
2.   Hydrogen gas generators are readily available in the market. It is a clean energy source.
3.   It is an environmentally friendly gas generator because it is a non- toxic gas. Other substances like coal and gasoline are the poisonous substances considered as harmful for the living body.
4.   Since hydrogen gas is used in the generators. Therefore, hydrogen gas is readily available as it is a renewable energy source. It can be produced again and again.
Nitrogen Generator
It is also called an LC/MS gas generator. An adsorbent molecule is used which is mixed with solid substances. The process of combining particles and elements gives rise to nitrogen generator. Proper pressure and temperature is maintained in these generators. The LC/MS gas generator suppliers provide the gas in a dry and straightforward form. There are different suppliers of such type of generators having separate inlet and outlet pressure. The voltage used for such variety of generators is 100-230 VAC. Its operating cost is low, and the running cost is high. Ambient temperature is maintained in such type of generators.
