Side Effects of Sleep Apnea

Sleep Apnea is a severe sleep-related health problem. Initially, there is no an eye-catching symptom or problems noticed due to the silent nature of this disease. But, in a long run, the side effects of this disease are very dangerous. This article is describing below the detail side effects and health challenges occur due to sleep apnea so that the patient will aware before it is too late.

1.   Fatigue: Fatigue is not a small disease. It is the root of all disease. Feeling weak in the day time and losing interest in work will invite many problems in life. Due to the sleep apnea, the pause in breathing distracted the sleep at night and creates fatigue at the day time.
2.   Diabetes: The Sleep apnea patients are likely to be suffered in Type 2 diabetes in the long run. Lack of oxygen due to breakage breath is increasing the sugar level in the blood without having proper digestion & utilization. The worst part of the sleep apnea is the resistance to the insulin, as a result, the body cells do not respond to the insulin which automatically increases the blood sugar level in the body.

3.   Liver Problems: Long term side effects of sleep apnea may cause severe digestive related diseases. As the shortage of oxygen during night prevent the liver organs to clean and lead to fatty liver, high enzyme level and liver scarring like deadly health problems.
4.   Breathing Disorder: Sleep apnea is basically a respiratory system related to the disease. Which lower the oxygen level in the blood? The common long term side effect of the apnea is asthma, COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases) etc.
5.   Heart Problems: The risk of suffering from cardiovascular & heart-related diseases is increased due to a long run sleep apnea. Other circulatory problems like high or low blood pressure, slow pulse rate, decrease the rate of the heartbeat; possibilities heart strokes & heart failure are also increased because of low supply of oxygen because of apnea.
